I think you should send her the link to your video anyway.
I think she would enjoy it.
Nice idea. I didn't think about it somehow

My teacher watched the vid =)
She said that i'm playing with expression and nice phrasing. I should "add more vibrato and don't lift the fingers: 3rd is playing, and 1st and 2nd are sticking up, like Baba Yaga's* fingers. Looks horrible!" (Hahaha!); That music is beautiful and, most important, i play it pleasantly; (can't say it about myself, maybe teachers are less picky, LOL!) Also she said that she rests assured now that i can successfully work by myself =)
Actually, i'm impressed how tolerant teachers are to the bad intonation, she didn't even mention it, LOL!
*Baba Yaga (granny Yaga) - is a character in Russian folklore. Old witch that lives in the woods in a cabin that has chicken's legs =). Yaga has cannibalistic appetits =) She is very skinny, usually has a hump and long scary fingers =)

Hi Naska! I enjoyed the video. You played it well. Thanks for the video.
A beginner like me (still a beginner..!!!) should have his/her fingers close to the finger board. You are into the intermediate stage and with regular practice (which is eluding you) by this time next year you may be in an advanced stage. Good luck.
If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it ..(William Shakespeare in Twelfth Night)

Thanks, Suresh for encouraging words =). As about fingers - i've tried to put them down, but it doesn't happen =/ Maybe one day i'll understand how to do it =)

As for tolerating intonation. EVERYONE plays out of tune. The question is how much.

I won't post the video here but have you ever heard Jackie Evancho sing this? I was just thinking that listening to her sing and watching her perform might be exceptionally inspiring for a violin performance.
Why can't You post a video here? I'd like to watch.
