Wow, Lisa, you're fantastic! Such lovely determination and technique! clap

Also, love your violin and matching bow. smile

I think it's the G, sounds a bit sharp or flat sometimes. Also the fourth finger E on the A string sounds a bit flat, and the fourth finger on the E string sounds a little flat as well to me, but then again I am unsure how the song really goes (do you have a piece of sheet music I can look at or a link of someone else playing it?).

I think if you practiced the fourth fingers and also hitting that G consistently, it would sound a bit better!

All in all though, you're doing a great job and keep it up!

Unbelievable. She's how old?? I can't even imagine how good she'll be in a few years.

1st-place

BTW, is her bow blue, too?

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

The topic subtext and title:

"playing wrongs notes just don't know which ones any advice well be appreciated thank you"

I didn't make a post to bash anyone or anything I apologize, this is the critique corner and they wanted advice so I said what I thought would help. I think she's playing wonderfully.

And my fault, I stated the wrong notes, I meant the C# second finger A string, not G!

LOL,,, I also didn't mean anything by it, just saying, I didn't see her play a G string and that there was a lot of sheet music for that song on the internet.

I guess you took me wrong ,,   cheers

Somebody could give a better critique if they had the exact music she was working from.  And other people might want to try the song themselves as it is played here without having to search all over creation for the piece in the same key and for the same instrument.

The note that is completely wrong is the G# in which you are playing G natural. You can try using a low 4th finger instead of your third and you'll probably find that that works better for you.

It actually sounds pretty cool with a G natural though. Could have been written that way.

The other notes are less of a problem. I could list every note for you but I think you would be better off listening to it with a pencil on your hand (that is if you have the sheet music for this) and identifying the intonation problems yourself.

Great job and thanks for posting it. I really enjoyed watching it. :-)

@Adversd her violin is a bit out of tune cause she is teaching herself how to tune it thats y it sounds so bad lol

@fiddlerman yes your right she is playing the G natural instead of G sharp she looked at her hands when she played it again and saw it lol

@Kindascrathy yes her violin bow is also blue

Thank you all for your response

I thoroughly enjoyed that ... thanks Lisa for posting, and thanks Katie for playing for us.

Katie seems to be very comfortable with her instrument, her fingers move beautifully, and I could totally ignore the few slightly off notes.

I also have a blue violin ... but I don't like it ... LOL  Because it doesn't sound as good as yours.

Hi Katie! You are playing really well, especially for such a short time!

As was said earlier, you were playing a G natural when it should have been a G#.

This is what the difference sounds like :

st with the G natural, then with the G#
