I'll leave critique to others more competent than I, but, I have to say - not only was it great fun to watch, it's quite clear you're enjoying every moment !

I can see exactly what you're doing, why you're doing it and experimenting with different bowing styles.....   Every style of bowing and playing known to man and then some ( OK, I exaggerate ! )

Cool!  Keep up the good work !  thumbs-upthumbs-up

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)

I think that there is a certain frisson in playing a fiddle ...sort of a "I've got half a handle on a slippery screech box and am giving it a damned good thrashing " Of course ,not everybody else may like it but it does put a grin on the old fizzog .

Thanks BillyG.

Cheers.

I agree with Bill. Looks like your enjoying it which is what I love to see.

Try playing with less bow speed on the shorter notes. You don't do it all the time but from time to time you make very quick movements mostly gliding over the strings. Could be that you are trying to economize your bow to cover the length of the notes. :) Even bowing requires planning.

Thanks Billy, Fiddlerman and Damfino .I appreciate the feedback. Without wanting to sound defensive or whingey whiney the only thing that I would say is that the little "stabettes " (my word I don't know any othe description lol) whch maybe:

" Try playing with less bow speed on the shorter notes. You don't do it all the time but from time to time you make very quick movements mostly gliding over the strings."

was done at 38 secs and at 1:24 was deliberate....LOL...... however if it didn't work then it didn't work and one should accept that and I do. Thanks guys.
