I have a recital on November 9th.  I'm playing Violin 1.  My teacher is playing Violin 2.  We're front and center for a fellow student, friends and family recital.

Here's where I'm at so far, with about 4 more weeks to practice.  I am practicing with a per-recorded, computer generated rendition that includes a  metronome click track.  I have renditions of the practice track at various tempos from 69bpm up to the target tempo of 100bpm.  I am currently practicing against the 80 bpm version.

This recording was made without the per-recorded practice track.  Comments and recommendations are solicited.  I do have the option to substitute a simpler tune but do not want to exercise that option.

Great start.  I fell in love with The Lover's Waltz when I first started playing and ordered a signed copy of the music from Jay and Molly before I even knew all the notes in it.  Then I taught myself to play it, though it will be a work in progress for a long time to come, I'm sure.  Yea, that ending is tricky lol.

Are you going to have someone to record your recital?  I'd love to see it.  Good luck!

Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

If you could work in more dynamics. Right now it is too even.

Cool Joe,

It would be cool if you incorporated some lower octave stuff so that you use that cool C string on your 5-string as well. :-)

Joe this is nice. I am drawn to this waltz.  I have heard a few versions recently.  Nice.  I am adding this one to my list.
