Since you asked for critique,

First of all, very creative of you to do this. It's always hard to follow a recording while playing unless you have the recording in-ear.

While you are playing with a recording, or group, focus more on the beat. Perhaps you need to tap your foot along with the recording. You are not way off but at times you are not completely with the recording. I think you can hear it yourself when you listen to it.

Also, focus on your intonation. While it's not bad, it is the one thing that most people, good or bad, will hear and judge you by. Since you already recorded yourself, take a good listen to what you did and make notes, mentally or on paper of which notes you have a tendency of playing too high and which ones are too low. You'll gain a lot by doing this self analysis of your playing.

Lastly, You are young, you can go far..... Start thinking about stage presence. Movement? Smiles...... A little dancing????  lighting? None of which is necessary but could add a lot to the observer right?

Good job. Keep it up :-)

Does it seem that Fishinstrument is mostly playing sharp?  That would be consistent with having difficulty reaching close enough to the nut.  It's clear from the video that the violin is too big for FI.  The big size leads to the neck being cradled in the hand even though the wrist is straight.  Also the thumb is very far from the nut, so that that tactile point of reference is not available.

You should try to figure out what size you need.  Your size will probably be either 3/4 or 2/4.   It depends mostly on your arm length, I believe.  Don't just wait for someone else to decide on the size.  I think you should figure it out yourself and be sure you get the right size this time.  Do a web search for: violin size length arm    to find information on how to measure yourself.

If your brother tells you your playing is bad, tell him that playing piano is just like pushing buttons.  Playing the violin, you have a harder job than he does.  Your fingers have to hit within 1/2 millimeter.  All he has to do is hit a 20 mm key!

If you want to play music with your brother, start off just playing one note the same as he is playing.  You listen and adjust sharp or flat.  Maybe make a game where you try to play what he plays (without chords).  Or just play a note on the piano by yourself and try to copy it on the violin.
