Yep, that's right these are the first four notes (open strings)

Just trying to get a feel for the bow and have smooth movement.

It's not great but at least I learned how to rosin! :D

Nice! Do You use the whole length of the bow?

Also, your violin is out of tune - try to tune it, - it will sound better! =) What tuner do You use?

I guess we'll see the video next ? laughamuseblinkdrooling

Great job for just a 1\2 of hour!

thumbs-up

Thanks.
I tried tuning it with an android violin tuner app
Also tried to use a long, smooth bow movement
without bouncing on the strings?
Will keep working at it.

Sounds pretty good for the first 30 min!

I think it is good to keep at least a few early recordings, for those days that will come later when you'll think you're sounding really terrible.  Reviewing some stuff you did in the first month of playing will usually help to put "terrible" back into perspective. LOL

Post a video as well and we can give you more advice if you like.

I find it strange that all these audio files play automatically even though they are set at autoplay = false

Is this the case for everyone or just us Mac and Firefox users?

Yes, the sounds auto-play for me as well (WinXP and
Chrome, one computer; Win7 and Chrome, other computer.) I wish it wouldn't do that!

Mine tries to autoplay but my security settings don't give it permission. Everytime I open a page I have to close the popup asking for permission. [windows 7, ie9]

I was having the same problem with the auto-play and not being able to open hyperlinks in my e-mail or links that someone would post here in the forum plus I couldn't open Fiddlershop without having to type it in the URL bar.  I couldn't even open my Credit Union account since they changed to a new system.

I just fixed all that though, I uninstalled Internet Explorer 9 and Internet Explorer 8 automatically replaced it. Now everything work's just fine again. I'm not getting the autoplay in here and all my hyperlink's are opening.

Everything's back to normal, for me anyway. I don't know about Mac or Firefox.

I have Win.XP on this computer.

The file does not autoplay for me, whereas the files in DanielB's original post at https://fiddlerman.com/forum/l.....ng-by-ear/ do play automatically.

One difference I see is that the present thread does not show a little gray audio player icon, whereas Daniel's thread does show such icons.  BTW, I can use those player icons to stop the files from playing once they have started.

Thanks guys. I was told that it's because of the WordPress changes that the autoplay occurs. I'll have to do some more research.

You have a nice, natural feel to your bow application to the strings, and the violin sounds like a really nice one!  You must have invested some time into research and gotten one you like!thumbs-up
