I've put in a few little clips from V3 ... bars 24-40, 41-48, and 57-64.
I'm really bad at string crossing, shifting, and keeping my left hand in the proper place after string crossings, as well as lots of bow wandering. Please don't bother commenting on the incorrect notes, I know about them (LOL). Also, I'm having trouble finding a good video editor so I've tried Wondershare and it's a trial version. There are some gargling noises the program put in (that's not me).
Any comments most welcome.

my advice is to put some tape on your bow marking the middle third of the bow. Then practice bowing between the two tape marks. this will immediately improve the bowing and tone of almost any beginner. Lemme know if you have any questions or need help.

OMG ROBIN!! THAT IS GREAT VIOLIN WORK!
Really, I am very impressed (I am a beginner). How did you do this? I like your bow hold with the right hand, and the ease of your arm movements. You seem very fluid and joined with the music. It's beautiful. I am going to practice this right now, you have inspired me to keep going!

Thanks for all the encouragement guys, but since I posted this video I haven't improved at all, I can hear the same wrong bowing and bow change noises.
pfish, thanks for the advice, I'll try that too.
And thanks, boss, for the video tutorials, they help immensely. I've now got dynamics marked all over the pages. Sadly, I'm too busy trying to hit the right note that I don't get to look at my scribbled notes. If I had a couple of years I might get it right, but for now I've cheated and changed the score a little to suit my shortcomings.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks Linda, you're very encouraging.
But I've been playing since July 2011, and although I know for a fact I'm still improving, it's so slow that I'm thinking these projects should be posted at least a year before the due date, because I never get up to scratch in time.
I'm not discouraged from entering the project, but I'm hoping I won't be in trouble for tweaking the music a little to suit myself.
That said, I still can't wait for the project to be finished and the result posted online. I'm hoping that most of us will contribute because this is the most awesome way to boost my morale, and when people don't bother joining in, then Pierre might just stop bothering to go to all the trouble he does for us. I've bowed out of other projects because I was not good enough, and that was the wrong decision.

Robyn, I've heard of hitting a plateau and that may be where you are. I can look at you as a brand new beginner and see results. I'm going to tell you what I tell myself...don't think about your progress being slow...have fun with it and it will come! The more we can relax(which is very hard) the better we'll be!

Work on trying to keep your bow somewhere between the fingerboard and the bridge and maintaining an even pressure and you'll see a great improvement in the quality of your tone. Different positions require different bow pressure. For example if you play right on or over the fingerboard will produce a soft tone but you have to use very light bow pressure to keep it from sounding scratchy. Just the opposite if you play right near the bridge you have to apply a heavier bow pressure. As a beginner you will want to play somewhere in between those 2 extremes using a medium bow pressure and you want to keep the bow from drifting . Try to move your arm in a straight motion so it doesn;t arc and pull the bow up and down.
Otherwise you are doing great. Keep up the great work.
