I have a cheapie 4/4 shoulder rest that could use a good home, but it might cost more to ship this sucker than it's worth, and you can buy a nicer quality adjustable one from Amazon for <$10.
That being said, have a lightly used 4/4 shoulder rest (or two) from my "Import Cheap Things From China Adventure!" lying around not being used. I've pretty much settled on switching between a spongy-thing and a FOM shoulder rest, so it has been used probably less than a 10 hours.

It's up for grabs to anyone who'll pay shipping on it.

I would gladly pay travel expenses for a 4:4 shoulder pad (from the pose X-mas budget), Cuting a temporary one form bed foam has yet to turn out stable enough. And I'm a pretty thin guy with a long neck.

Does anyone know where I can get a "foot" for my Kun shoulder rest? I just replaced the rubber tubing but as I was doing the last foot I realized that it was broken. I think it was dropped or stepped on my my husband. Anyways, I've found some but they're like $9 a piece and that seems a bit much. That said, I've had this sucker for over 25 years so maybe it's time to invest some money in it. I'd chuck it but I'm sentimentally attached -- my dad engraved my name in it when I was just a youngster.

Thanks, fiddlerman, good to know. I ended up being very patient and using gorilla glue. It worked pretty good, probably not forever but good enough to practice and record for the Pachelbel Cannon project and that's all that matters for now! And I've bought the replacements so I'll be good to go for another 25 or 30 years!

One more thing -- totally unrelated, sorry -- what about getting a pickup? My husband has nice recording tools for his singing and guitar but I hate standing next to a microphone because I'm always afraid I'm going to knock it over. Any opinions on what's best? I don't want anything permanent and my violin is pretty nice/old/precious. Thanks for your advice!
