Well I seem to have found this on E-bay.  I do believe it will take a bit of work to get it back in shape.  Not much provenance about it.  Came out of an estate sale from somewhere in the SE.  Was supposedly the owners project that didn't get finished.  I will have to see how it goes trying to reassemble this.

Wow. I'm really looking forward to see the violin come together. I hope you will post pictures during the process :)

Thanks guys, this will hopefully be not only be enjoyable but also a learning opportunity.  I am not going to get in any hurry putting it back together.  Need to get what other parts I need and some more tools.  Some of tools (clamps) I can make but I may have to buy some others.

Kevin, thanks for the offer.  Glue was what I was doing some research on last night.  Any brands that you could recommend would be appreciated.

Frequenzy and Coolpinkone, I will be taking pics as it goes along.  Strangely enough I was just looking for a used neck when I found this.  E-bay can be a wonder sometimes.

Hide glue from international violin. http://www.internationalviolin.....Code=10220

This is a 315 grade which is much stronger than the 220 grade but sets up faster.

The picture show other items but this is for just the glue.

For the glue pot use a cheap electric hot water pot and suspend a small jelly jar in the water.

This is the type of glue pot I use

I'll have to try and upload the image later it won't upload right now.

Thanks Kevin, I was looking at that glue this morning.  Going over parts I might need and looking at some spirit varnish also.  I need to roost around in some boxes because I believe I have that very same crock pot.  Haven't used it in years.  Should work if I can find it.
