I’m not sure I understand how to use the click tracks so they don’t become part of the recording. I’ve recorded myself before, with garage band and Ableton Live but when I turn on the metronome it becomes part of the recording.

You need to play the click track in earphones so only you can hear it.

@texasfiddler You need two devices to record your video;
1) Device 1: to video record your playing--many use their phones, but you can use a tablet, or camcorder, etc.,
2) Device 2: to listen to the click track--need to do this with headphones/earbuds (wired or wireless/Bluetooth) so that the click track is not audio by Device 1. Some use a second phone, but you can use a tablet, laptop, or PC, etc.,. You will need to have a copy of the clicktrack on this Device 2 that can playback the file.
I used to use an Ipad for Device 1 (I now use a camera), and a 2nd Ipad with Bluetooth earbuds for Device 2.
