@Mouse -
You went to a lot of work on all this (Thank You!), so I want to make sure I have this right.
I shouldn't have started a "Tuttles" Party because of the type of parties GregW had already started?
In other words, should GregW have started a "Traditional Irish Tune" Party instead of the 2 individual ones he did?
Technically speaking, I believe "Lilting Banshee" is an Irish Jig and "Cooley's" is an Irish Reel - "Tuttles" is also an Irish Reel.
So... should GregW have actually started an "Irish Jig" Party AND an "Irish Reel" Party?
I think it's wonderful we're getting guidelines - Fiddlerman recommended a "Party" to GregW, but think nobody really knew anything about them.

Thanx Mouse, I was just thinking your suggestions for themes were a GREAT idea!
I could definitely see seasonal/holiday parties - e.g., playing love songs for "Valentines Party", etc... where a choice of different (but related) tunes is possible for more people to join in.
Or, even just genre parties - though this could get a little muddy. (lol)

PS. - just move me if I'm derailing this thread.

i kind of like a broader allowance on requiremnets so that more people could be able to post something...and it has the benefit to others... if Stringy post a jig i havent tried and i learn it enough to post in his party, he gets the badge and i get the benefit of practicing something new..who cares if there are 20 jigs in the party room.. unless its a server space thing that is the issue..which case i totally get that..
