The new security system in use has been stopping me from getting near the site, it does the verification and then says ok and then waits for fiddlerman to respond, which times out
If you're the owner of this website:
Contact your hosting provider letting them know your web server is not completing requests. An Error 522 means that the request was able to connect to your web server, but that the request didn't finish. The most likely cause is that something on your server is hogging resources. Additional troubleshooting information here.
This is the message I get, almost gave up tonight then suddenly it worked, hope you can help, obviously something has to be done about the amount of spam, which just lately hads been unbelievable, mostly from AI generated sources, maybe someone is trying out their software, and being paid to place ads on behalf of others, its not unknown.
Cant beat a sunny day

@Mouse -Are you getting the cloudflare human verification check everytime you try to just go to fiddlerman.com?
That AND another verification when logging in?
It's been a while since I logged in, but I think it's yes to both. And login verification is always a pita. It would help if I could change my login I.D. - I may be getting that wrong.

Verified human - the ignominy!

It seems a little excessive to me right now.
I frequently get the Cloudflare verification when I haven't loaded a page from this server in more than about 10 minutes. Sometimes, when I take a long time typing a post (perhaps because I'm trying to find a link, or just typing a lot), the Cloudflare verification comes up when I try to submit the post, and then the post ends up not being submitted.

I've been getting many more (I just didn't want to make a big deal of it) - sometimes when I leave one thread & go to another, but also when I submit a post.
Just lost a whole post - one that took me more than a few minutes to put together, got another verification when I submitted it... poof, just went blank.
Only wondering - why so much verification after we've been allowed to log in?
Okay... I know I need to quit posting so much, this could be a good thing for me. 🥴

A lot of times, I write what I’m going to post on a Word doc, and then I copy & paste it.
I started doing this with other sites (e.g., sending message to customer service things, etc.,) after too many times of having what I wrote out “disappear”.
It’s an extra step, I guess, but it’s just a habit for me now. I just keep a "drafting" Word document on my desktop.

I already draft posts in a Word document if I know they're likely to take a long time to write -- this was something I started doing because of long COVID, because I sometimes needed to finish writing the next day. But I sometimes take longer than expected to write something that I think is only going to take a minute or two; often this happens when I just need to look something up or find a link.
And when the new security verifications started, I certainly didn't expect them to pop up again after barely ten minutes of inactivity.
