Not sure if this will help, but are you using Microsoft Edge?  I’m not super familiar with Microsoft Edge (I still like to do most of my PC stuff on my Windows 7 computer with Firefox & Dissenter because of buggy/annoying things with newer software; case in point), but there are known issues with Microsoft Edge when copying urls.

Article here explains resetting a default in the browser so that you copy the URLs plain text rather than letting the browser do its default thing, which could cause issues.

Even if link worked when you first used it, the website could have changed the linking internally (intentional or not), so what you copied (based on default browser setting) doesn’t work anymore.

Even if you’re using something else (on iphone, etc.,), there may be a setting somewhere that lets you change it so that you can copy the URL as plain text to help avoid this problem (a.k.a “traditional” url).
