I spent quite a bit of time on Myfanway early this morning. It was time to record.

Still a lot of work. Will be continuing on with the next section, by playing through where I stopped, otherwise, it will sound like two pieces because I will continue to pause after what I did here.

I don't finger the normal way. I have to adapt because my little finger is just not strong and at my age, it is not going to get stronger, so I am adapting for it.

@Fiddlerman Thank you very much. Notice it is a slow song?

Yes, pretty much the cello. I will PM you why, Maybe you will have a solution. I miss the violin and viola.

No playing yesterday today. Got a couple of vaccines in the morning yesterday. Very sore arm and not feeling well. Maybe, tomorrow. At least I was able to get the vaccines.

Thanks, @Katie L No hand knitting, no knitting machine, no loom knitting and no Sentro knitting. Need the are for those, also.

Maybe, I can find a new Kindle book. I prefer hand held paper books, but, I have so many in my house, already.

Anyone know of a good book?

I started working with the click tracks for the Group Project this morning. I am feeling pretty good about it. Oddly enough, I find it easier to use the click track for the entire project, not just the 4th part. I think it is because I can hear how it fits in with the main melody.

I really want to get this done as good as possible. So much to learn in this. I will be doing this more than Myfanwy. But, I will be doing Myfanwy so that I do not go backwards with it. Cello is a great project part.

Did some more work on the Group Project. I think, having paid attention to why two strings are playing so often, my strings are not working for me. They are synthetic and have too much flexibility. I have ordered a different brand, metal, not synthetic. I think that these will work better, after I get them. Cannot remember what they were called.

It is going well. Still a LOT of work to do, but it is coming along.

Busy day, today. I received my Amazon order, double pointed knitting needles, and Fiddlershop order, cello strings. I consider them birthday presents. Great, just what I needed and wanted! 😂

Yes, I changed the strings in my cello. I m doing pretty good with the group project, but in paying closer attention, al lot of my issues are caused by the Obligato strings. I absolutely love the sound, They work great for Myfanwy and What a Wonderful World, but they are slow songs and no runs. I cannot bow fast with these strings, They are too flexible, for lack of a better work. They are synthetic, sound great in my Fiddlershop cello. Sadly, I had to take them off.

I bought a set of steel strings. They are easier to bow, so I think I was seeing my issue correctly. Right now, I am not impressed how they sound on my cello. I like how they bow, They just do not seem to coordinate well with my cello. Not sure what to do. These were recommended. I am thinking that I might see about a different set. Time to call Fiddlershop and get their opinion.

Anyway, I did play my usual Myfanwy and What a Wonderful World to warm. I then went over and over the group project. Like I said, the bowing is much better, but I am not thrilled with the sound at all. I never had this happen before. I do not think it is something I can live with. I cannot tell when I am in tune or off. The projection is there, but the sound does not agree with my cello.

I will call Monday. Easier and quicker than an email, and we know I can't type in a device quickly and accurately enough to do a live chat, 😂😂😂.

I spent a lot of time with the Group Project in cello. First sans click tracks. Then I added the tracks. Then I worked on trouble spots, sans click tracks and the whole thing sans click tracks, then the click tracks. I repeated this over and over and over. I played for about an hour.

After working the group project, I went to my standbys and played them to end.

Then I got down my violin. Wasn't too bad.

I did like the strings a little better today. They are easier for me to play. They don't seem to buckle when I play, causing two strings to play. The runs in the group project are better, still need work, but are better with these strings.

I am holding off locating a better set of cello strings. Am I 100% on board with these, no. Are the non-synthetic strings better for me, definitely. I will give these a little more time. I my post above this one, I had mentioned my new cello strings.

For my reference, if needed, one set of the double pointed knitted needles have too sharp of a point, Why did I order them? I bought a set of the same brand, CiaoGoo, in a different size a few months. They were stabbing me in the wrist, also. Will I ever learn? The other two brands are great! So, everything I Saturday, the strings are growing in me, the CiaoGoo knitting needles are a no go (again!), and the Brittany birch and Clover dark bamboo are a go to! Not bad.

Oh, the strings, after installing them on Saturday, 2 mornings ago, they have held up their tune nicely. I just had to tweak the G string a tad when I started this morning, and in checking when I was done, 👍👍👍👍.

Well, I made my holiday hat for the project today.

IMG_0403.jpegImage Enlarger

Turned out better than my cello playing. If I have issues with the small corded Apple ear thingies, I will have to wear the bluetooth headset over it.

I might make another, if I can find better red yarn. My Sentro circular knitter did not like the red yarn. It isn't slippery enough and kept dropping stitches. I did learn how to pick them  up on this machine, 😁.

Good day. Cello went well, and I have the hat.
