Amazing improvememt since I last watched a vid of yours, very impressive, totally agree with Sharon about your form, which is excellent, a lot of very hard work has gone into that.

You are doing real justice to that tune, tone is sounding really nice and smooth, great sound love it.

Thank you Stringy ! I can see improvement as well compared to the last Danny Boy. Thanks for watching and the encouraging comments ! I’m going to work in my expression now. To be completely honest my playing sounds like notes strung together and not very musical . So I’m hoping to get a bit of that into my playing !

So are you saying I’m like Mozart Stringy! I’ve gone back to my old favourite Vincent and in two of the bars try to play loudly and at the end very softly … that’s round about where I am with phrasing but gotta start somewhere. 😁

Well yes 🤣 I do stringy. I was practicing Romeo and Juliet A Time For Us and actually recorded it but want to get it better and start a Romeo and Juliet party at some point.

I thought that was really good. I love the tone you are getting, especially when you relax, I also think your bow hold is superb.

Its very difficult to record yourself playing for so e reason, no idea why this is, but its a fact. Your intonation is excellent in most parts as well, can really hear those notes ring, they sound like in an echo chamber unmistakeable, you should never have used tapes, you never needed them you have good ears.

It's really coming along very well! As you relax, it just gets better and better. Only thing I can suggest is that you move your phone (or computer) so the ceiling light is not in the field of view. If you raise it up, you can tilt the view down to avoid it.

I can't really see the bow hold in a way I'd like. Is any of your index finger, other than the tip, in contact with the bow?

Thanks Gordon and Fiddlerman !

I started practicing staccato today.. sort of think it’s right but not sure.. I’m thinking I need to press a bit harder with index finger. Early days but am I doing it right ?
