@JohnG -
I'm really sorry you are struggling with this, figured you'd have Wexford Carol so stuck in your head by now - you'd be playing it in your sleep.
If you can get some sleep & try fresh - it will help.
Try watching SharonC's play-along & just listening a few times through before practicing.
...I'll probably record on Sunday - you'll get it!
After all this, hope you play it all throughout the Holidays!

@JohnG -
Did you play along with the click track for the Wexford video you submitted?
You sounded wonderful and because the tone of my Viola sounds different from yours, just on a whim I thought - how cool would it be to hear yours & mine together!
Then, it became obvious... half way through, starting approx at the beginning of the repeat, you loose the timing and lag noticeably behind from there on - otherwise, you sounded GREAT!
I hesitate to mention this, but you may not have even noticed it, because maybe it was something to do with your source of the click track - a latency caused by hearing aids, tablet, or even YouTube. Man-made stuff screws up, too - all I could do was double check against the click track.
Just thought you'd like to know where to focus if you are planning to re-submit this part, but keep in mind none of us submit a perfect video - mine certainly wasn't as good as I would've liked. I found it very hard to play those 1st 3 notes, for the Viola 1 part! I couldn't get the string crossing to sound good, so chose to shift up after the 1st note - and I hated how short the the 1st note was written, it was very difficult for me to articulate without sounding harsh - and my intonation will never be perfect... I always wish I could've done better. 🎅

@JohnG , I’m sorry to hear that you’ve hit this little glitch. It can be very frustrating, especially when we all have Christmas activities we’d like to focus on. But I’m sure you’ll power through this!
I don’t know if you’ve listened to any of Gibbles’ violin tutorials on this. He begins each one with a fine play through of the whole piece. If you determine which of his tutorials is closest to the viola part you’re playing, it may be very helpful to play along with Gibbles for a bit. After that, it should be easier to get in sync with Fiddlerman’s All Parts click track.
Good luck. I’m sure you’ll do a great job!!
