OK, confession time. Spent a few days up in the mountains. I had my Fiddlerman's Masters Fiddle (Viola), Sheet Music, Camera, Costume and MP3 player. All set to make my recordings. BUT I did not plan on the snow.... Grrr. 16 inches of fresh heavy wet, cold stuff. Not what I wanted.. Next time I promise...
With comments still being made on this thread I'm gonna assume this project still has potential. I almost have the 6th violin part ready- double stop and all! Once I get a satisfactory recording I'll work my way up on the others.

OK, Well here we are just about 100 days since the 100-day practice challenge started. I joined in a day late and missed about two weeks worth of practice, a success in my book. Hey, I'm playing again... As promised I will be submitting all three parts of this group project. I confess, I got off track with working on the pieces, but am committed to keeping that goal. I have plans to be at the mountain cabin the end of this week, and if the weather cooperates will have my parts recorded...
I have one question, perhaps in the format of a poll. Do I record
1) in the meadow
2) in the pines or
3) at the river?
I can also record in the great room of the weather is bad,, but I so do like the acoustics outside so much more...
My submission is coming, with the hope of having all three viola parts done. My desire was to film in VT down by the river with snow and ice (Winter is coming), but the last few times at the cabin the weather did not cooperate. The only excuse I have at this time is procrastination. Now that I have the Traveler (for at least another week or so) I really should try to record at least one part on the violin-but I forgot how to read Treble Cleft...
I still think about doing it. However, thinking and doing, two different things. It's summer time in northern Alaska and time is short! But yes, winter is coming...
Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.
I've never seen the show, but I love the music, and still tell myself I need to learn this tune and take part. Now I'm not working on anything in particular, so maybe it's the time to try? Different key signatures don't scare me as much as they used to, haha, I just still worry about my timing.
On a journey to learn the fiddle since July 24, 2015
It's been so long, I will definitely start again on this and redo some parts, and then some others I didnt tackle before. @fiddlerman you have 7 seasons to catch up on. I find the same thing. If we do a bit of marathon GOT evenings, the music gets stuck in my head. Everything becomes " Bah bah, Da da DA dah" on and on.
