Pierre,
On Viola1, page 2, measures 85 and 89 - the last note in each appears to be a B that is below the open C string.
If I'm reading it correctly, and it's not in error, how do I play it?
Also, because it's been so long since I've had to think about things like this, I don't remember the rules on notes that are individually marked with a sharp, flat or natural. Is that designation ONLY for the one specific note, or do you play all following similar notes the same until instructed otherwise? I'm looking at the D that is sometimes sharp and sometimes natural, specifically.

PS, you guys are EXPECTED to yell "Ghostbusters!!!!!" in the right place during this performance. No harm in practicing that even now
Hmm.. How about if we all yell "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe!"??
@HeadCheese: Since you are the main rep for the Dark Side around here, I did a quick take of a bit of sorta part 5 with electric bass guitar just to tempt you to dust off your fretless. It's an eeeeeasy piece on bass, at least judging from the bit I tinkered with from part 5. You know, just in case the project ends up needing a bit of bottom..

@Mad_Wed: Hmm. Maybe. Probably not exactly the 5th part, though. Bass is a different instrument and 5 is written for violins. I may try jamming with the midi and listening or the original song and see if I can come up with a reasonable bass guitar part. If I play just exactly part 5, it could cover up some of what the violins are doing. Wouldn't want to do *that*, since part 5 is the one I'm working on for violin! LOL
I mostly just recorded that bit of it to kinda tease HC a little bit because he mentioned he has a fretless electric bass he hasn't played much lately. But maybe I can come up with something that would fit and support/accentuate rather than directly competing with any of the violin or viola lines. If I do, it would be up to Pierre to decide whether to use it and how much of it in the mix, though.
Getting my violin part practised and recorded will be first prio though, since this is a violin group project. Playing part 5 on violin is going to take more practice than it would if I were playing it on bass guitar. I have put more years into guitar and bass, while I haven't even put half a year into violin yet.
Glad you liked my little bit of goofing off on the bass, though. Thank you for the encouragement, Mad_Wed.

You don't want me for that. I'm rusty, dusty and quite a bit musty on that old thing. Besides, we have a professional bassist among the ranks here at Fiddlerman.com.
I've got my hands full just learning the Viola part for this project.

I'm very rusty on bass as well, HC. Somebody actually good on bass would be a much better option, I agree.
