4 days i had no opportunity to practice.... only 4 days... and all the weeks of learning the part was gone facepalm

I've recorded it. I'm afraid, it's useless.

4 pairs of accumulators... every pair lasted during only one try ... and not every try to the end.... i guess the power in our house was off all night long while they were charging.... Playing in front of the camera, that can shut down any time and you don't know when is really annoying.

So i have only ONE FULL useless try....

here it is confusedduncecap

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.....mMbfD7gTvw

PS: I don't want to be excused - i didn't make my homework. But i had fun (quite histerical...but still fun) and pleasure to hold the violin =)

... At least i look like a drunk homeless corpse!..

So i guess i'm out again.

Sorry about it!!!confused Though sprended anyway.

What was wrong with that, Naska? I thought it was great! Better than mine will be, if I can even pull it off at all. Love the costume. I cracked up at the end, along with you.

Haaaaaaaaaaa!  Naska, your smile and laugh are infectious (that's a good thing in case it doesn't translate,,, infectious isn't normally good,,, except in your case, lol).

What an incredible job!!!  The fluidity of your bow hand is so cool and your pitch and style are great!  Glad I took a minute to watch.

And for your costume,,,,, looks like you're wearing a mangled Holstein hide, lmao!

Sorry I'm out.  I was almost ready to record.

My husband is seriously ill, he's been air-lifted to a major hospital and I have to drive 850km to be with him.

Gotta run.

I will check the final result.

If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

That was great Naska!

I should have mine recorded later today. Just need a costume really. I have a couple of ideas floating around, I will decide by then when I will do for mine.

First off: Naska, you are fantastic! Love your style, and your playing technique is exquisite. You may well be the first exquisite zombie in the world. tongue

And Robyn, I hope your husband will be all right! frown

Now then: I've spent the best part of the afternoon trying to get a decent take of this thing. Stuff like the batteries on my camera and my iPod dying and my mediocre-at-best skillz kept getting in the way. Not to mention my faithful familiar Timjan who wanted to join in the fun:

Had to lock her in the bathroom eventually. You don't want your familiar to kill your violin's familiar, right? Kind of destroys the Halloween spirit.

*Familiar = an animal that embodies a supernatural spirit and aids a witch in performing magic. [Dictionary.com]

I'm trying to get my recording done today. First, I have to chase everyone else out of the house for the next several hours, so it'll be quiet enough.

I can barely play it, as it is ... I can't imagine how I'll manage with any semblance of a costume on...

I'm trying to Sprend my video right now. The progress keeps going up and then down again. I'm wondering if it's ever going to finish. Anyone else had the same issue?

@Pierre: if it doesn't finish tonight, I'll try again tomorrow.

BTW, my contribution isn't very good. I did part 5 but fell apart in the middle section where the counting is tricky. Hopefully Pierre can cover up my audio with someone who is much better.

My excuse is that I didn't get much practice in due to my tendonitis. I'm sticking to that story, anyway.

I did have fun with the costume and props, though.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks for all the files guys. I'm enjoying them all.
I have 7 members videos or audio as in Minh's case (4 great audio parts from him).

I was hoping for at least 20 and will push the deadline through to at least next Monday to get those great last minute videos that usually turn up when I do so.

Don't be afraid to give me a bad copy. Better that than none. I can keep the usable stuff and turn down the volume on the Edit and mix to make it all sound great. The video will be better with more participants. Also, if you know anyone who would like to participate, please encourage them to do so.

Thanks for all who have already sent me their parts and sorry to hear about your husband Robyn. Hope it all goes well.

I'll have to try recording with my laptop or borrow a camera. I'll ask some of my friends if they would let me borrow their camera. Then maybe I could do a video.

I am sorry to confess that I won't be joining this project. In between kiddo's school, work and home, life has been too crazy and I haven't had time to work on the piece.

Thanks everyone.

Sorry you are too busy Denise. I kind of blame myself on this project for having perhaps too difficult parts. I still need a lot more videos so anyone who is debating whether or not to record, go for it.

Yes, please! Pierre can't bury my performance in the mix, if there aren't enough other people to hide behind.

Thanks all for your thoughts.  He's doing fine, though slowly.

You all did a great job, I don't know why any of you would say it wasn't good enough, it definitely was!

Can't wait for the next one ... I might get into it better (or divorced, if that's necessary).
