I became very excited upon seeing this....but after watching, I was quite dissaponted.....his playing wasn't that great....Fodor's playing of this piece is much more "beautiful" than this one...... I mean, it's like Mintz is speeding up and slowing down, speeding up to another note, the orchestra needs more practise......well, at least I finally heard my favourite concerto being played on Il Cannone....

Shlomo Mintz is an acrobat and incredible technician while there are others who are better musicians and play a bit more carefully, IMO.
I still enjoyed it.
I love his Paganini Caprices though. smile
