String players from the Arctic Philharmonic play the first movement of Grieg's Holberg Suite from their homes.

@AndrewH I wonder if someone has been watching Fiddlerman's projects?

Really nice production, everybody listening to the click track.

Interestingly, they did it a little differently, most likely because they wanted to have organic-sounding tempo changes in the piece. What was sent out to all the musicians was not a click track but a preliminary audio track (without metronome clicks) that went with a video of the conductor.

The preliminary audio track consisted of only the 1st violin, 2nd violin, and cello parts, each recorded by only one player in sequence (2nd violin with 1st violin recording, then cello with 2-violin recording). With the small number of parts in the preliminary recording they were able to ensure that it lined up perfectly before sending it out to the full orchestra to record the final product.
