Please forgive me, but the video you shared of Roman Kim's performance of "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" was so profound I decided to also place it here. Then I searched for a little more about Roman Kim, and WOW - take a look for yourself with this link! I only spent moments at a few of the links there and I'm completely blown away. I don't know why I haven't run across him in all my searches.
This violinist/arranger is Superhuman!
Is it possible Roman Kim is the best violinist in terms in technique?

Thank you for bringing this virtuoso to our attention!

quite good isnt he his version of paganinis god save the king is incredible. Dont know how true it is, but I have read that the glasses he wears are his own design and allow him to see invisible markings which he places on the fingerboard. His skill and dedication to practice are phenomenal and for me anyway he is the best violinist in the world.

I have been totally captivated watching Roman Kim perform.
This guy has inhuman coordination & motor skills, let alone his little finger appears to be more than twice as long as mine! ...and if I could only spread my fingers like Roman Kim does, something would break (I know - been trying to increase my stretch all this past year, with no luck).
Hate to admit it - there are certain advantages to acquiring physical skills when we are younger.
What I found the most fascinating, his artificial harmonic acrobatics in, "I BRINDISI" and then when he plucked the strings in a complete fervor with his teeth (near the end) - well, let's just say there were Fireworks! (lol)
Roman Kim's air of confidence and sense of humor make me believe he truly loves what he does - I always admire that.
Makes me proud to be a part of the Human Race!

Okay, now I'm excited!
Want to have some fun?
Here's another video that helps you get started learning to use/play Artificial Harmonics!
Don't forget, Fiddlerman has a GREAT video on harmonics to watch, also!

Geez, this is my 3rd post in a row, I'm becoming obsessed! You mentioned Roman Kim's fingerboard. Get a good look here - between minutes 4:38 and 4:52!
Upon closer inspection, that's not a natural wood figuring... just curious.
Still intrigued by his glasses too. Almost makes me wonder if they are just focal magnification, they don't look like normal periscope glasses and I certainly hope he doesn't have macular degeneration (seen many prismatic glasses for that problem). Or, does it help his eyes use information independently?
My head just exploded!
So, I found where he was interviewed on a YouTube video - he was asked about his prism glasses he made. He said they just helped him focus better!

just incredible isnt he? I have been practicing artificial harmonics for several months now, but not getting very far with them, very difficult indeed. !ooks like he has lines across the fingerboard for some reason on the deep purple track, think he plays a stradivarius normally, sure I read that somewhere. Thanks for the other vids
