I mentioned (in the Music Theory Thread) that 'Spaghetti Western' & 'Sci-Fi Westerns' are similar.
They have scenarios that include: reluctant heroes, cruel villains, violence, bleak landscapes, and non-traditional music scores.
Want to share tutorials & sheet music for this Style of Film music here.
I hope you will all consider trying one of them... or share your own!

Okay, the fireflies have been spotted this last couple weeks, so what better tune to learn than the theme from "Firefly"?
Yeah, Sci-Fi series again - but always thought this sounded kinda Spaghetti Westernish - what do ya think?
"Ballad of Serenity" from Bluegrass Daddy, but it's really the back-up cause he's not playing the melody... hey, it's okay to play the melody, too! John has a tutorial available.

@ELCBK - It was often referred to as a space western. Here is an electric violin version which you might like. Oh, and I loved this series and was disappointed when it wasn't renewed.
