Ahoy! I tried to learn violin on my own several years ago and didn't get very far. Now I'm 65 and retired, so this time it will be different. Still learning on my own, but there are a lot of online resources nowadays. I always have questions and problems so I'll prolly show up on this forum from time to time. (I hope the required math doesn't get any harder.)

Hi Goon, I also began learning when I retired 3 years ago, though at the time I was only 59. I can't figure out how I used to have time to go to work lol.

I too just started learning the violin in March at the same age as you.
