Hello everyone, i'm not exactly that new to this site. I have been conversing on the live chat for quite a few months, those who go there regularly would probably remember me. Anyways sorry for keeping you all waiting, looking forward to meeting you all!
I started playing around the end of January, oh boy how time has flown by... almost a year now and looking back at the progress is just incredible. Sadly I cant even remember most of when I first started to pick up the violin I practiced so much during the first few months its hard to remember it all.
After learning through online sources and awesome people on the net, 8 months later I decided to find a teacher to really maximize my potential. Been going well.
Oh and I wouldn't be taking part in this awesome community if it weren't for the amazing people at fiddler shop. Those guys really deserve support, never in my life have I seen such honest businessmen, you guys rock!
Anyways I guess ill leave it at that, hopefully I will share some videos or audio tracks during the end of December. If you wanna know anything else about me just ask.

Welcome Alfi - another "ex-lurker" - trust me - there is rarely any drama here - everyone that contributes to the forums are "at their own level" - be it the fundamentals of music side of things, techniques for playing, luthier-ship (if there is such a word), beginners, advancing players, true experts - you name it they're all here - we do it - all folks bring so many different and worthwhile things to these pages.
It is amazing how much a year of study and effort can bring you. Great to hear you have found a teacher - wish I could find one locally! And, of course, share your performances - I look back on my early ones around April this year - hmmmm I'll say no more - well - it "was where I was" at the time - all cool !
Glad to have you aboard! Enjoy the journey !
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -
Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)

Hooray aand welcome. You are all official. Congrats and food luck.
@coolpinkone - lol at "food luck" typo CPO - hahah hmmmm foooooooood ( as Homer Simpson would say ) - now I feel the "nibbles" coming on..... gonna have to raid the fridge... LOL - maybe even find a chilled "Duff, Duff, the greatest stuff" beer lurking there ... ( oh, I'm living inside a TV cartoon episode... reality returns.... sorry about that !)
[ So yes, @alfi - you will also find a certain degree of mild insanity here as well ! Best to just run-with-it... lol ]
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

Welcome to the best place on the internet.
Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

Welcome to the forum Alfi,
Thanks for your introduction. Tell us more about what you have accomplished after having found a teacher?
Thanks so much for your kind words about FiddlerShop.
People like you make it all worth our efforts.
Thanks Pierre, I'm definitely planning to share my progress. Right now i'm finalizing the Violin Concerto No.2, Op.35 by Oskar Rieding. Its a Beginner piece and its what my teacher wants me to master before I move on. I should have something ready by the next week or so
