Greetings! My name is Dan, and I am the lucky father of two budding string musicians.

My son Matthew is 13, he's finishing 8th grade, and has been playing violin for nearly 4 years.  He has attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp twice, and was slated to travel Europe with their International Orchestra this summer.  He also plays bassoon and piano.

My son Jonathan is 10, he's finishing 5th grade and started playing cello this year. He also plays trombone and piano.

Personally, I have no musical ability, but I know how to register for discussion forums, I can drive to lessons, I can carry instruments, and I know when to clap at concerts and recitals.  I'm really proud of myself for this.

We all look forward to learning and growing with the help of this community.
