Well, I am going to make a valiant attempt to play the violin. Borrowed an electric violin from my son's girlfriend (she is really good!) and started to play today. Have very steep learning curve ahead of me, but learning and overcoming obstacles is half the fun, right? At least with the electric, I can plug my headphones in and not subject the rest of the household to my awfullness.

With this resource, fiddlerman videos and forum, maybe I can play something soon. If it works out, I will invest in my own instrument, or if not, I will stick with my saxophone.

I've only been playing for 3 weeks and I started with an electric too We've got a lot to learn and a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy this community as much as I am already.

Welcome, @arsenic74.9 ! Wow, two New Englanders have joined the forum this week; the other is from Connecticut. I'm from Massachusetts, myself, and originally from Rhode Island.
