Yes, I try to play. Have only been playing less than a year. Have played guitar for over 50 years.
I am enamoured with the violin. I have now owned over 50 in just a couple of years😊

Quite a few people here who, like you, played guitar for many years before picking up the fiddle.
...and it is all about the bow, how you hold it & use it. 😊
