Hello,
New Member here. I just wanted to introduce myself. So glad I've come across this forum. Well I have been practicing my violin for 3 weeks now. I have an Cecillo Electric.
I have been playing electric guitar for about 15 years now and I have ALWAYS wanted to play the violin, so at 39 years of age I decided to go for it. LOL! So far so good. It has been an absolute joy practicing and learning this instrument. I can decently play basic versions Amazing Grace (without vibrato), Mary had a little lamb, twinkle twinkle and silent night.
This forum is so encouraging and it is great to know I'm not the only one who decided to start the violin as an adult. I look forward to conversing with you all and learning some tips too. Hopefully I can share with you too.
Patience is necessary to learn the violin: But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.-James 1:4
When I get discouraged: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.-Philippians 4:13

Happy birthday and may the fourth be with you on Star Wars day.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. ~Herm Albright
