Yes Neo, I was kind of naive too until I realized that I had the perfect resource for starting a violin shop online. My son and I opened FiddlerShop.com in January and are very pleased with the results so far.
I would guess that at least 10 people here on the forum have a FIDDLERMAN bow CF bow.

Hey Fiddlerman,

I like the look of the August F. Kohr violin K550. I like the single peice flame maple backs 8 ) but in the photo's the two piece back version had a much nicer flame pattern on the neck.... but I guess every violin is unique.  If the bow I just bought comes hassle free I will look into getting a violin soon aswell 8 ) when the time comes would it be possible to get some photo's of the violin I would receive rather than a demo picture? It's not all about looks either......I am pretty scared about buying a violin online especially after the hassle I have just gone through with the local store....

Neo, I can try to get you a picture of the actual violin but the violin is set up after you purchase it. The bridge, pegs, tailpiece, soundpost, chin-rest and all is installed and set up by the great luthiers at Howard Core. It means that the strings are fresher in any case. You can request a one piece back if you like.

Hi Neo,
I'm new to the forum too.
I too was a little Leary about ordering a violin online, but I finally did. I got it about 3 weeks ago. It arrived imperfect condition. Most sellers will replace damaged instruments from shipping without a hassil. So I would go for it thumbs-up

@ Springer Glad to hear you like it! I just got confirmation that mine has been shipped.......exciting times cheerleader

@ Fiddlerman Sounds like a hassle for you ha ha. I thought you might stock them....... I am guessing they come from the factory to you once they are purchased or they go straight from the factory to us ha ha. Cheers for your time cheers

@ Mad_Wed I believe we are on the same wave length brother (or sister lol) dancing

It may be a little while before I buy it, I just bought all this extra surfing equipment; HD GoPro camera, SD card, wetsuit, bike racks. I am going to be poor for a little while lol but I hope to make some great surf movies when it all arrives in the mail. How epic would it be to make a surf movie and then record yourself playing "Requim for a dream" and put it in the back ground of the movie!!!!!! I can't wait till I am awesome at the violin!!!!!!!!drummerdevil-violinbirthday_balloonbanana

Haven't surfed since the early 70s.  We used to hide our boards check in at home room and then off to the beach. We got caught one time, had our wet suits on with boards on the cars but said we were going back home because we forgot our homework. You could fit a lot of people in a 62 Bonneville.

Hhahaha I bet you could fit a lot of people in a bonniebille.... look at the size of its trunk!!!!! I like the front end on them, similar to the Buick Wildcat, I want to import a convertible wildcat for cruizing ha ha.

Why did you stop surfing?..........let me guess you got married facepalm. Just joking tongue

What did they say when you were caught with your wet suits on? lol that would have been hell funny

Yes Neo, they ship directly from the Cecilio factory in California to the buyer. In other words, I drop ship the violins. Usually you have the instrument in your hands within a week.

I don't want to scare you but Naska had to wait 5 weeks. :-(
Usually around 2 weeks is about right. The next speed shipping on the bow costs $35
I don't know if can find any shipping method more reasonable than USPS but unfortunately their tracking is really bad.
