Go Daw From Denmark
I have a bad conscience because now I have in more than 1 1/2 years used all of you to try learning to play the fiddle. So now I better start and show what I've learned and all that I not have learned. I am 50 and in December I have been playing for 2 years: I actually feel that I know a lot you very well, because I'm on the net dali and I am very sad that I am not with the Fiddlefest Barry has arranged, but I'm not ready yet. Maybe next time.
So talk to y'all soon.

Welcome, Peter. Can you tell some more about your learning and playing? Have you played other instruments, do you read music, do you play by ear, have you had lessons, how do you practice, what genre(s) do you like? ... stuff like that ...
Hi
I played on a wooden flute in the school 35 years ago, but has not played any instrument since. I do not have a violin teacher, but I have taken online video lessons started with Bluegrass but it was too hard for me to keep these songs in my head, even though it was a very good teacher. Then I have tried to learn about Celtic Music and Music Theory Online.
I can learn easy tunes by ear and I can also read music and find the notes ontil 3 position, but not as fast as in the first position. I practice about 3 hours + a day.
Celtic music Jigs, reels and special airs and waltz, but also some bluegrass and classical music, I have a very wide music taste.
Here where I come from, there are not really any adult people who start playing the fiddle all people think that one must be 4 years old, but I have now seen many great adult fiddleplayers which started late.
I bought my first violin in November 2012 and has had many downs because of the sound I could produce, but now I'm really starting to enjoy it even though I think I'm incredibly slow to learner to move my fingers fast, but I'm working on it .

Greetings Peter, and welcome to the forum.
Glad you introduced yourself. What part of Denmark are you from?
I played in a few orchestras in Copenhagen while on vacation from Malmo Symfoniorkester. Living in Malmo, we were fortunate enough to spend a lot of nice times in Denmark.
Thank you
I live in Halk it is located in southern Denmark at the East Coast by the sea Little Belt.
It's a great site you have made with an incredibly good video library. I use it a lot. Thank you
I've actually seen you live in SWE 2 The Pink Panther 9 years ago.
I want to learn to play Celtic fiddle and I upload a video once in a while when I'm about to have a new song ready.
Thanks for a great site.

Yes, it is. Can not remember if it's 9 or 12 years ago but it was sent same time throughout whole Scandinavia from the Opera House in Helsingborg.
No, I did not see it much but have some family with great interest in the classical music.
I thought it was a bit boring because I do not know much about classical music but the participants were highly skilled.
No the program don't exist any more.
No APA Is only a shortcut of my name. Anders Peter Andersen Called Peter LOL.
