i am a 43 years old. and have became interested in the violin in the last couple of mouths.The sound is so coming to me.So i thought i would give it a try this winter. i am hoping to get one by mid Jan.

I think only the body of the violin changes size from 3/4 to 4/4, so the neck would be the same.

It is my opinion that if you are an adult you probably need a full size violin. Notes up higher on the fingerboard are closer together I personally need all the room I can get. 
No matter where you go, there you are!
My daughter is 4' 10" and can use a 4/4 but it is easier for her with a 3/4. She is 41 so she is not a child but she is height impaired. The size is going to be dependent on the lenght of your arm. The difference of the width of the fingerboard is negligable.

If your arms are long enough you should definitely use a full size violin. The sound is so much better and unless you have real skinny fingers it can be tough to get them close enough at times on a smaller instrument.
