Hi everyone! I'm Farina and I'm from Malaysia, which is in Asia. Anyway, I've been a violinist since I was 14 and now I'm 18. I've stopped playing awhile since I've got my major high school exam back in 2010. Now I wanna continue playing it back seriously. What I've got is a beginner's violin which I first bought when I knew nothing about violin, just the passion to play it. My teacher did told me that I need to get a better one since I'm under intermediate now which I still don't know what is good since good violins are quite to find around where I am and they cost a bomb :(

I'm glad that I've found a community here though :) Hello!

Welcome Ili. Not sure what to tell you about recommending a better violin myself to be shipped to Malaysia. There's a couple members on this forum from Malaysia that may be able to help you. Did you ask your teacher?

Hey Farina,

I'm happy that you found your way over here and hope that you can find a decent instrument soon. Problem with shipping an instrument to Malaysia is shipping costs and the possibility that you will not be satisfied without having tested it first.

Hey! Yeah I guess I'll look around here first. Violin is an investment anyway for me. My teacher is quite not helping that much tho but I'll definitely try looking around more :)
