Hello everybody,
I decided to go ahead and make an account so that I can introduce myself. The name is Adam and I'm writing from Jacksonville, FL. I'd been tinkering with the idea of learning the violin off and on for a few years. You know how it goes, you hear a song with a really fun violin section and you think to yourself, I want to learn to play that, but then life gets busy and you forget until something else reminds you again. Well after several cycles of this I finally decided to do something about it. I started keeping an eye on Craigslist ads for a violin but nothing ever popped up that I was interested in. Even visited the local violin shop but while I walked in hopeful I left feeling like I didn't belong there unless I already knew what I was doing. Anyway I stumbled on fiddlerman a while back and have enjoyed the discussion and videos. Plus, after a lot of online comparison shopping I decided to order the fiddlerman Concert violin just yesterday. Can't wait to get it and get started.
Well, that sounds like the stuff of a great new adventure.
There are many resources here on the site to help develop your skills and no question goes unanswered 
You might know that you have to post a video of your playing within 90 days ??

Welcome aboard Adam !! I also own a fiddlerman concert violin. He personally checks over and sets up each one. I love mine and Im sure you will too.

Really glad that you found us. We're in Ft Lauderdale so you're not far from us at all.
I think we can all relate to life getting busy and things not happening. At least you took the first step. I frequently say that the secret to success is to, "Do it now!"
