Hi everybody. My name is Jason and I'm living in Oregon (which in on the West Coast of the USA for any international readers). I live in a semi-rural part of the state right on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Right now I'm finishing up my schooling to become a registered nurse. It takes an incredible amount of time and causes me a great deal of stress, but I guess it's worth it.

I'm not totally new to FM because I've been hovering around the site for a month or so gleaning information and making the random post here and there. So, I decided to formally introduce myself. I have found that I love playing the violin more than I guessed that I would, which is strange because I also find that it is the most technically difficult musical instrument that I've ever played. Luckily, I found a great site online where a professional violinist will teach you to play the violin for free, and a whole community of players are waiting to talk about all things musical! I'm pleased to say too that I've actually been improving! I'm not where I want to be yet, but then again I've only been playing for 2 months... but I'm getting better all the time. Thanks for all your help everybody, without this site, I probably couldn't play (or read) a note!
