This is my first visit.
Just bought a student violin on Ebay which should arrive on Monday.
Already planning to get a better one and looking forward to learning
the violin.
Perhaps it might take my mind off of the Steelers' losing season

Not sure about the Steeler's but my mind has been off the Lion's for quite some time now. 
Hi Plumguy. Yep, You've found the right place. With all the video's Fiddlerman has got here, you're sure to have a leg up. The name of the game around here is having fun! However I notice my playing is dramatically increased in quality since having a group to participate in. Are there local open jam sessions near you? I'll bet there are plenty around in Pittsburgh... might be something to check out.
Well, be sure to post a video if you can of your initial attempts on the violin... always helps down the line to look back and see how far you've come!!

Yep Diane, Tom Brady did not let us down as usual.
I know how you feel plumguy, with the Miami Dolphins continuously letting us down down here. LOL
I still think they will do good next year considering Ryan Tannehill is a rookie and already doing so well. Also considering Joe Philbin has his first year as head coach.
Anyway, we are supposed to get our minds on playing the violin instead. 
Diane can keep her mind on the Patriots while we concentrate on playing the fiddle.
