Hey everyone!
I'm a 31-year-old teacher from Switzerland.
I always thought the violin was the most beautiful instrument. As a child I would have loved to learn how to play it but I thought my parents wouldn't be able to afford it so I never asked them.
I first started learning the violin in 2014. I "studied" for a couple of months with a teacher and then had to stop. I had a baby in 2015, finished my Master's degree in 2017 and studied 2 years to become a teacher, so I had no time for the violin.
I picked up the violin again a couple of months ago and, after some refreshing of the basics, I decided to invest in a better violin (Concert violin from the fiddlershop). My second son is due in September so I'm hoping to improve enough to get motivated to continue once the baby is here and I'm completely exhausted...
Have a nice day everyone! See you around

Im a teacher as well, with a very similar background, started to play then stopped, started again about a month ago.
I'm jealous that you have decent violin already, still working with my Forenza (However I love it, two children one disabled, and the other is only 4 months old, with being a teacher MONEY is wait...
Whats Money? (Seriously thinking about selling my Mountainbike!))
But seriously these guys (everyones a guy in my book sorry ladies your guys as well) are awesome, have got some decent answers and a few laughs from here, actually never botherd to go elsewhere!
Wellcome.
