Hi, My name is Bob and I am just starting out to learn the Viola Ive had books for a few years and I now finally can afford a decent low end Viola buying one from the fiddlemans shop. I also play the Guitar and the Harp (well I did till my wife had a horrible accident and I sold it to pay for her surgeries and i have never been able to afford another since they cost as much as a decent car.) I have buit guitars a violin or two and some dulcimers. i like a good tune musically, I dont care about the genres.
So Hi everyone and I hope to learn a lot.

Welcome aboard @Gaffanon / Bob - you're in the best place ! LOL Best wishes with your journey - violin / viola - not a huge amount of difference in playing technique really... just those funny notes in the alto clef LOL ( j/k - I play both )

Very cool that you make instruments too. Sorry to hear that you had to sell your harp to pay for surgery, it's hard to believe that can be necessary in todays society.
