Since I was little had a dream to learn to play this wonderful instrument but never had the conditions to buy one or take classes, now I'm 18 and about 3 weeks I remembered my dream with a mad desire to start. Unfortunately I still do not have the conditions to take private lessons, but after incessant searches I came across several sites to learn violin and the one that caught my attention was the fiddlermen.com . I've already seen all the videos on the site 
. Apparently I'm going to get a violin borrowed from a friend of mine, just have to see the size!
I loved the idea of the site, and hope possess sufficient skills to participate in the next Fiddlerman's International. I'm anxious to start learning how to fiddle.
I am Brazilian, I'm 18 and studying law school. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here.

you'll love it here, and your english is quite good.
We all love the violin, love trying to play and will be lots of help in the coming months if you choose to stick around... seems like you do.
There's players (and wanna be players) from all age groups, from pre-teenagers and college students to old guys (and gals) like me that wish we had started when we were in grade school! Oh well... it's all fun and we all try real hard.. you'll fit right in.

That's one of the thing a liked the most, be able to post videos and you guys helping and criticizing is one great thing. I think that's what will help me more. And u bet that i want to stick around, and i hope i do!

BTW I have a doubt:
do you guys know some exercises I could do to help posture or something since I do not yet have a violin?

It's kind of hard to practice anything in advance since it will feel completely different when you do it with the fiddle.
Just look, read and observe as much as possible cause you'll probably be so anxious to actually hold the violin and begin bowing when you finally get it.
