My name is Gabriel, or Reacher if you prefer, and I've finally joined the ranks of the violinists! I've been browsing the forums and chatbox for some weeks now, but hopefully with the arrival of a Fiddlerman Concert Master violin I can better participate with everyone now.
I've always been drawn to the beautiful violin sound ever since my middle school English teacher had us listen to and study The Phantom of the Opera in class for weeks. It was amazing to hear the emotional music and lyrics paired in such a fashion, and vowed to one day be able to play my own violin just as wonderfully. Ended up learning piano for a few years since my school didn't have violins, though I was able to learn much about basic music theory that should help speed up the learning process.
Think my specialty will be playing slower songs though I hope to build up my dexterity to play fast, fun Irish, Celtic, and possibly jazz songs eventually. Nice to have goals, at least!
Shoutout to Fiddlerman for the much appreciated help and service in aiding me to get on the beginner's violin track!

Thanks, everyone! Here's a song I'd like to play in the middle-term/long-term:

Not sure how advanced it is (or if there's even sheet music for it), but I love the emotion it portrays.
