Hello everyone.

My name is Alexander and I'm from Stockholm, Sweden. I'm 19 years old and I've been musically interested since I was 5 years old. I'm a very optimistic person who has an tremendous enthusiasm for playing music, especially learning and trying out new things in music. My biggest desire in music is to achieve the feeling of being happy after hearing a creation that I myself have given birth to and that it in my opinion sound unique. I don't care about confirmation or other peoples opinions, I just simply do it for my owns sake because I love doing it.

Anyway! as I mentioned earlier, I'm very open to trying out new things and this July I started playing the violin because I've always been a huge fan of the sound of it. So I own a cheap violin and a viola and I seriously play them as often as I can. Many times a day and in my opinion I think I play very good for having played it for less than 4 months and surprisingly having not watched many tutorials. The only tutorials I've watched are the ones who explain how to hold the bow and what all the parts and tools are for. The reason why I'm not watching tutorials is probably because I'm the kind of person who only learns by trying it out myself. I think this is a common capacity since playing the violin requires a technique you yourself have to practice in, and that of course can't happen just by watching someone else doing it.

Wow, what a short presentation. I could write 10 books if I wanted to, but this is obviously not the place to do that :p but in case it needs to be mentioned, I'm also a self-learned amateur guitarist, pianist/keyboardist, drummer, singer, composer, producer and lyricist who creates everything by himself. The music is a mixture of many genres, in case someone is interested in listening to a sample or two then just send me a message and I'll work something out. I also occupy myself daily with other interests such as psychology and fabric dyes.

So this is the end of my introduction, but before I end this topic I just wanted to write down some things I think every human being is worth having in mind:
You are worth everything that you want. You are the answer. You are right to do what makes you happy and don't listen to other people's opinions about it, don't let them affect you. Just stop caring, don't adapt to what they want for you. Just do whatever you want to do and don't give a damn if people judge you. You know the answer and that's what matters. We're humans, we can't be perfect. We have defects, it's natural. Everything will turn out good as long as you're doing the right things for the right reason. It simply results in your psychical health. Be real, be yourself. Don't believe in everything that you hear. Question it and demand proof, especially if you're into society and politics. :)

Peace and regards, Alexander :) notenote

I'm detecting something of a Type A personality here...

You'll do just fine!

HeadCheese:

I had to check what a Type A personality is and I totally disagree with the description of it :D . Some things were correct and after reading Type B and C I suppose that I'm a mixture of these three. I don't necessarily put myself or other people in groups so that's why I got surprised :P

Thanks for your welcome :)

What a nice presentation! Yes, I'm sure you'll fit right into this lovely forum.

Also, I agree about not categorising people. I looked up those personality traits and must say I couldn't readily place myself in any of the groups. Which I suppose is a good thing... party
