Howdy. My name is JoeCwby (Joe Cowboy) or Joe for short. I'm 48 years young. I live in N.W. Florida, in a small suburb of Pensacola. Orginally from CT but moved to FL in 1999. I started taking classic violin instruction a few years back but had to stop because life got in the way. I bought house & moved. After working on new house for 3 or so years, going through some life changing medical issues, I've decided to pick up my instrument and try again. This time I'm going to start taking fiddle instruction. I'm a American Country/Western music lover and would like to play some of that along with some Bluegrass. I also enjoy Austrailian Country Music and some Celtic. At one time, I took this survey that matches a musical instrument to your personality and mine came out as the violin. Thinking back, I've always have been able to hear the violin/fiddle playing in a piece of music. So I guess it was enevitable that I started playing and really enjoy it.

It's great to hear others playin. I started a couple weeks ago. All i think about all day long is what i'm going to play when I get home.
I took the quiz and came up with the Oboe. What the crap?? I play multiple instruments and none of them even come close to that. Well what do they know. I'm lovin the violin. It has so much more to give than any of the others that I play.

I took the quiz and it couldn't figure me out. No answer after 10 minutes. I quess I'm hopeless or they don't consider pot banging an instrument.
I came up with a Cello AND OBOE !!!!

Naska, you really should try the cello. It's kind of fun.
I've got the itch to pick one up down the road myself (perhaps a Cecilio model) when I feel a lot more comfortable and accomplished with the violin.
