Hello and Namaste to all. My name is Jay, an IT professional now living in Windy City. I am originally from India, but US has become my second home now since living here for the past 8+ years.
I have learned Indian classical violin when I was 15 years old, for an year. The college life distracted me from further learning. After I got my first job and started to earn, I again picked up my learning with Western classical but that too only lasted an year. I had to move around different cities.
I always have that deep love towards violin all the time, also to music. The most valuable things I have owned in my life are my music systems :). Now, after 15 years not touching the instrument, I started learning again as a complete fresher (all I could remember and do was to read notes and play open strings). But after about 5 months I am making good progress like never before, also more dedicated and relaxed now. I also have more time now since I am kind of settled in this place and job as a senior IT fellow.
Just ordered a FM CF bow, waiting eagerly for it. Its a great forum with cool members, wonderful posts and the FM himself. Wish you all a melodious playing!
Thanks
Jay
A table, a chair, a glass of wine, a bowl of fruits, a music system with lots of records and my violin. What more I want to retire?
