Not new to Fiddlerman, but my violin has been sitting idle for more than a year.  This least year and half has been tough - major medical issues and too many funerals.  But now, a year later things are finally settled (as much as can be) I'm picking up my violin again.

I am dismayed at how much I've forgotten, or at least how much my fingers have forgotten, but I'm pleased at how quickly the skills (such as they were) are returning.  I'm enjoying the daily practice and the familiarity of getting back into a happy routine :-).  I've actually pulled out my Beginners Book 1 and have stated refreshing my skills and memory from the beginning.
