Hi. I'm a relative nearby to fiddle, but I've played other instruments. I'm looking to enjoy playing for my own sake and hopefully join some easy jams someday. Im happy to have a community of people to chat about fiddling with.

Just to be clear, not all of us are "Fiddle addict". We are of all interests, and some multiple. I like pop, some soundtracks, mostly pieces that don't require my fingers to run around the violin, viola or cello fingerboard really fast. A lot of members are fiddle, but not all of us. 😁😁😂😂😂 So, any type of music will have us all interested.

I should be clear that my definition of "Fiddle Addict" includes anyone who enjoys playing any kind of music on Violin, Viola and Cello... even Dbl Bass.
I just haven't come up with a cooler term, yet.

Thank you for the welcome. I will have to agree with "string addict" as I tend to be enticed by all string instruments, but not so much other types. 
My current fiddle interests are old time, Irish, Cajun, etc. I live in the Appalachians so I have a lot of exposure to the old tunes!

That is why I said "String Addict". We have violin, viola and cello, plus mandolin here. Your intro has turned into a fun time! Look what you started.

Good morning @personalduck Thomas and Dad here and welcome. I will say that we are both fiddle addicts like @ELCBK mentions. To us(5th andd 6th generation violinists) have always called our violins fiddles. There is a difference between fiddles and being a fiddler. We have had a great community of friends on here and I think you are not only going to learn a lot but meet some great, long lasting friends. Plus play along with many of us.
