I can't believe there's no Andrea Beaton discussion in the Celtic/Cape Breton forum, so I must have missed it, but since I can't find it, I wanted to share a few of my favorites from YouTube.
I realize sometimes there's a little tension between "authentic [whatever genre]" and "festival [whatever genre]" and some of these are "festival" performances, but Andrea Beaton blows my mind. I absolutely adore her sound and her smile is a lovely bonus.

Two part house party video with her father. Kinnon plays lefty so when they're face to face on the piano bench it's trippy and awesome:

@Heady -
I LOVE the way Andrea Beaton plays those strathspeys & reels!
I saw she had a video that was from last year's Fiddle Hell. I'm sorry now I wasn't ready to take part in any workshops at that time - and she didn't teach at this last April's Festival. Maybe she will in November (fingers crossed).
I've been playing 'King George IV' & now I can improve by watching her!
Your 2nd video also links us to a great site - 'Celtic Colours International Festival' has quite a few wonderful videos of performances and interviews - I'll be spending some time there!
If you're interested in seeing what little info & tutorials we've gathered here on Cape Breton music, here's a link that will take you to some of the other threads.

Thank you for sharing those videos!
