Barry, VERY cool song; I'd love to learn to play it.  I've just been learning Beatles songs and am dying to play an Irish/Scottish jig.  How difficult is it?  Can it all be played in first position?  Would you do a vid with sheet music?

I love this tune. I'm not sure if I'm ready for it, but I'd like to try.

Hey Barry, I for one, am anxious to give this a crack.  I just took a peek at the sheet music,,, and that's some pretty fancy bowing right there.  The music looks pretty straight forward, but JC, some very intricate bowing.  I expect the vid will help a LOT!  Thanks for all your effort!

I suppose I could learn it in 5 hours as well, but,...

in order for you to be able to understand it on a violin... add another 5 weeks. roflol

i found a music sheet for it.

G major, 108 tempo in 12/8 time (I didn't use it, lol) but had a quick sight read as I tried to play it. This should really go in your practice section Dennis, but hey! call me a rebel!! lol

oops! seems we have to wait another 7 minutes for it to load! go have another beer! (or Guiness!)cheers

Way to go Terry! Excellent effort.

Sometimes when I am trying to learn a new tune it gets so intense I have to take a nap.  sleep

Terry, that's a great start.

I just started working on this one too using the fiddle tab Barry posted.  As soon as I get a video recorded that I don't hate, I will try and post it.  I'm pretty terrible at it so far :)
