Hahhaha we all have been there.  My goal this year is to work on getting over the yips!

Case of the yips lol, I get all antsy and play too fast when the recording button if hit. Then follows severe death grip followed by a case of wasthatmeplayingsoterriblyitis.

Looking forward to getting over the yips.  I have to say sometimes I can get a take in 25 instead of 50 times now. 

I am getting over some fears of playing in front of people. MY phobias were so bad, that quite honestly that is why my lessons didn't work out well that first year, it is also why I haven't jammed with my local lady fiddle friend as much.   

I am getting more confident about playing.  Actually I feel sometimes like now the violin is like my clothes. (sort of)  I feel better and better play and it gives me courage.?

Anyway...I can play now just standing even if the person is watching and listening.  BIG progess...  So if any of you ever run into me  in person..just say.. play me a song and I can.   :)

BUT.. the YIPS... are still here... and still a part of my life.
