Oh, I am in LOVE!
Egon Egemann has blown me away with not only a very broad repertoire of playing styles (Classical, Jazz, different trad styles & popular), but a great voice & excellent technique on an extended number of violin/viola strings!
He grew up in Austria, studied Classical & Jazz violin at the Graz Music Academy, then studied music here in the USA (Boston, MA), settled in Switzerland forming the Egon Family Orchestra & starting a solo career. I've seen Egon also plays mandolin, guitar & accordion (maybe more) - he's quite the showman with a wonderful sense of humor.
"You Can Groove!" - 6 strings! Think I just found a fabulous luthier!
Bet you never saw 'Orange Blossom Special' performed like in this performance (last tune)!

@stringy -
Egon plays many forms of Jazz, plus so much more - he's got a surprise around every corner! ...love finding musicians comfortably playing so many kinds of music.
Egon's Jacaranda Album is a wonderful, eclectic, mix of tunes! The Album can be streamed from Amazon Prime, or Spotify for free (the link)! Some Latin, Blues, Irish, Gypsy Jazz, Klezmer, Hip Hop - even a take on Pachelbel's Canon!
Who needs a mandolin if you have a violin?
"Malaika"

Okay, now I'm feeling really bad I got so carried away, I didn't even share some videos that were specifically for this thread. 😒
Here's Egon's version of "Sweet Georgia Brown" - on a FIVE string fiddle!
"Swing Waltz"!
There's MANY more I like! "Bergluft" reminds me of several songs, but this is enough. 😉
