Inspiring there is a blues/jazz fiddler, Regina Carter, on the board of Artistic Directors for the new SFJAZZ center!! Huge opening night show to be broadcast Wed, Jan 23, 2013 around 8PM PAC time. WWOZ New Orleans will have live video of the NPR hosted stream.

Regina Carter plays some great jazz/blues, she was probably the very first jazz/blues violinist/fiddler I found when I was just starting to learn violin and looking around to hear what it *can* sound like.
